Kid’s Konnect for children ages 3 through 5th grade meets Sundays in the Lounge from 5:00-6:15 p.m. All kids in grades 3-5 who are interested in singing for Advent, join us as we prepare our voices and hearts for this special season. Next Sunday, November 18, we will have an Advent “Make and Take” for our last Kids Konnect of 2018.

Help Decorate the Mitten Tree. The traditional Mitten Tree for Sherwood Elementary students will be in the north hallway near the elevator. Please help decorate the tree with mittens, gloves, caps, scarves, and new/used jackets. Also, socks and underwear for boys and girls sizes 6-10 are needed. The tree will be up through November 25. United Methodist Women. UMW Dining for $$$$ is back this December! Plan to get one or two holiday ready-to-go entrees. Entrees will be available Saturday, December 1, at 9:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. You have a choice of Crockpot Pork Tenderloin or Chicken Tetrazzini Casserole (or both). Wednesday Bible Study. Beginning Wednesday, October 17, 6:00 p.m., we will be looking at Leviticus (which may be the Bible’s least popular book). In our study, we will attempt to approach the various laws, rituals, and stories of Leviticus with an open-minded curiosity about what we can learn about life, ethics, God so that we can apply these ancient scriptures to our contemporary social challenges.
