Longest Night, Blue Christmas, or Service of Light are the labels we attach to such services that provide quiet, contemplative moments of care to those who are sad or struggling while others around them are caught up in the seasonal celebrations. Many of us are acquainted with the paradox of this Holy season – a time when we feel we are supposed to celebrate hope, love, joy and peace, and yet a time that can also be full of depression, sadness and grief. Join us on Wednesday, December 18 at 6:00 pm to find a space for dealing with any grief or sadness and to hear about the God of love who meets us in the middle of the mess and pain of our everyday lives and in the lives of those around us.
Refreshments will be served afterwards in the Church Parlor.
