St. Luke’s adult ministries have opportunities for adults of all ages.
United Methodist Women
An organized group of women whose purpose is to know God, experience freedom through Christ, develop supportive fellowship and participate in missions through the global ministries of the church. Monthly meetings of the full UMW unit are held on the first Tuesday of each month. Smaller groups meet at various times throughout the month.
United Methodist Men
A diverse group of men who gather weekly to offer intercessory prayer on behalf of others in our church and community. Join them at 7:15 most Wednesday mornings for a hearty breakfast, devotional and prayer time. On the first, third, and fifth Wednesdays of the month they meet in St. Luke’s Fellowship Hall for a breakfast prepared by the Men’s cooking team. On the second and forth Wednesdays the group meets at Perkins Restaurant on Park Ave. at White Station. The men also support our Food Ministries by providing “Manna” bags, a non-perishable lunch bag for church members to take and give out to those in need in the Memphis community.
Young at Heart
A group of older adults who are very active in many areas of St. Luke’s. Activities are planned throughout the year, including seminars on current topic, tours of local attractions, and day trips to places of interest around the Mid-South. For more information contact David Day.
